Tarot Haikus

Here I'll be posting a series of haikus to be used for a future project:

0 – The Fool

With faith as my guide
I step into the unknown.
No fear of falling.

with eyes open and clear,
able to experience your own,
a risk worth taking.

haiku is such a wonderful form of poetry,
even within these strict constraints,
haiku poets write with subtlety and depth,
i'm so trully happy and thrilled with this new serie! :) ;)

1 – The Magician

To work this magic,
I summon the elements
And align my will.

2 – The High Priestess

These intuitions
Hint at the mystery that lies
Beneath my mind’s veil.

3 – The Empress

I embrace this life
And all its fruitful bounty
With nurturing love.

4 – The Emperor

Through the hierarchy
Of authority’s blessing
I command respect.

5 – The Hierophant

Through high ritual
I teach a secret doctrine
Of ultimate truth.

6 – The Lovers

I impart knowledge
To the man and the woman
United in love.

7 – The Chariot

I exert control
Over life’s dualities,
My commands obeyed.

8 – Strength

I ease troubled minds
With a calm and certain grace;
Strength in gentleness.

9 – The Hermit

I am the true guide
Of seekers to their center;
All must turn within.

10 – Wheel of Fortune

I give expression
To hidden dreams and desires
Through life’s ups and downs.

11 – Justice

Here in the present,
I weigh on my scales the past,
To choose the future.

12 – The Hanged Man

My inverted state
Grants me holy access to
New understandings.

13 – Death

Through the little death
I encourage them to share,
The lovers taste God.

14 – Temperance

I strike a balance
And create a resting place,
Moderate and calm.

when i read u Dave,
i'm always reminded for the wonderfull fact that,
haiku uses words to communicate ideas and beliefs,
shade and sweet water to u my friend,
super stuff u have here!!!

15 – The Devil

I bind my victims
With seductions of the flesh;
They think they are free.

16 – The Tower

I shatter bondage
With holy bolts of lightning,
Releasing the soul.

17 – The Star

I pour the waters
Of inner inspiration
On the ground of life.

18 – The Moon

I am the doorway
To mysteries of madness
Through which two must pass.

19 – The Sun

I am the doorway
To sacred enlightenment:
Oneness with the All.

20 – Judgement

I sound the trumpet
Call of true awakening:
"Arise to new life!"

21 – The World

My dance expresses
The joy of heaven and earth
United in love.

wow this is really impressive D,
your modeling of words is really top notch,
and the writting very elegant!

it kind of throws *realism* out the window ;)

Okay... the "future project" is up on the web. Go to http://www.infinitedot.com/22stories.html and click on the "Soundtrack" link (to the left, or halfway down the middle). This will take you to a Flash presentation where you can read the final version of the haikus... and where you can listen to some music...

(with a big thank you to mooncat for putting the Flash presentation together!)
