Anat, thank you so much for taking the time for this interview, so where on the globe are you located? Would you introduce yourself and give a little personal background?

Ok, my name is Anat, I'm a 21 years old girl (woman?.. nahhhh) from Israel. Did - school, high school, army, hospital (as a patient unfortunately) and now college.

Everything has a beginning, how long have you been creating art, would u mind sharing with us your beginnings in the digital art, poser and photography scene?

I have enjoyed drawing ever since I can remember myself, on a piece of paper, while on the phone, during math classes, whenever.

I was first introduced to the CG world about 3 years ago when I saw an image created using Poser in a web site. This web site had a link to Renderosity... I was amazed by the amount and verity of art in that site. But back then I didn't even think about trying Poser myself. About a year ago I started playing around with Poser myself, and that lead to Photoshop, Vue d'Esprit and also (with the influence of Renderosity and the art there) a little bit of Photography.

Have you had any formal training in the fine arts?

I started taking painting classes once a week a few months back, and 3 days ago I started college and I'm studying there graphic design.

What are some environmental inspirations when you sit down to work on a new piece?

Lots of inspiration comes from music, poetry, books, the whether, sky, nature, things in my life.. I guess anything that gives me a visual vision of a situation or feeling. Sometimes I just want to see if I can do something technically. And sometimes it's just something to do to ease the mind.

If you were to put a description on or categorize your art, what do you think it would be and why?

Well, I would like to think it's versatile.

I would like to think it's interesting and thought or feeling provoking. I would also like to think it's technically good. But I can never be completely sure when it comes to my own work.

What motivates you?

No idea.

Maybe ... beauty. Also to get better. To be, perhaps, one pleased with my work.

Where are you now in your life? How has life in general affected you art?

I am now at a place where I feel a little.. edgy. Lots of changes, and I don't cope very well with changes

I think during the past years I've realized how much love and friendship are important in life, and I think it may reflect in my work

I have been through quite a lot, when I think about it, in the last 3 years, and if some of it shows in my work I don't think I do in knowingly, but I do think it's there.

Has there ever been a time that you just wanted to quit the digital art scene?

Well, the art scene all together.:) About every week.

There will always be a day when I'll be thinking "oh, I'm not good at this, I'll never be good at this, I might as well quit and that's it". But the next day I will open the computer... for sure.

What advice would you give to young artists who are just starting out?

Practice. It helps, and most things can be taught.

I know everyone asks this question, but I find the answers sometimes intriguing. What three people would you invite to your fantasy dinner?

Ok, fantasy dinner.. actually, this is the first time I'm being asked this question.

Hmm... William Shakespeare, Weird Al Yankovic and Mordillo. That's gonna be some dinner, ha?

(see, I'm counting on Weird Al to live it up if Shakespeare turns out to be a completely boring man, and judging from his cartoons I think Mordillo is a really nice person, so I hope it won't be too awkward. And if it will, we'll just get drunk. Of course, I have to remind myself this is only a theoretical dinner......

)

If you could be a character from a fantasy novel, movie or game, who would you be?

Wow, that's a rally hard question!! I want to say "hobbit", because I really love my home and I don't like to go out on adventures, but I don't think I am as nice as the hobbits are (and they are nice - to go out on adventures they don't want to go just because they were asked to). Hmm... I really don't know.

I wish I could be the "hero" type, the guy (well, it's usually a guy) who saves the day, but that's not me..

Anything else you'd like to say or talk about?

Nope.

Any parting words for the art communities out there, and your fans among them?

Thank you for being there and making it such an interesting and versatile community. It sounds like a bunch of cliches, but I really do feel proud to be among such artists, and to share art and ideas and data at times.

It's been a great part of my life in the last year or so, and I only hope I can do this in the next years to come as well.

wow i really enjoyed reading Anat's interview bcaz today only i seen anats whole gallry on rendrocity; she is very inspiring artist all her artworks are very sensational they all hold some emotions....
